Over the last few years, we at EP-E have designed and introduced a series of primary standards for gases, designed for use in calibration laboratories. As a technology partner of the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) in Braunschweig, our solutions are based on the highest standards. The EP gas bell plungers generate a volume flow which is traceable to the SI units length and time. The pistons are driven by a stepper motor via a spindle. In the initial state one piston is fully retracted and the other fully extended. The volume flow can be set with high precision via the piston cross section and the travel speed. At the end of the calibration process, both pistons are in the opposite position to the initial position. The calibration device is preferably operated with air, which can be supplied with up to 6 bar. The EP gas bell pistons convince by highest measuring accuracy up to 0.15% (k=2).

The precision RTD simulator is used where measuring instruments or controlling means with high precision must be examined or calibrated. The simulator is suitable for calibration laboratory and service centers which need a computer-controlled resistance decade for the automation of calibration procedures. All standard platinum and nickel RTD can be simulated with very high accuracy according to scales ITS 90 or IPTS 68. Temperature regulators, transducers etc. often supply a pulsed signal current in order to reduce the self-heating of the RTD. Devices with electronic simulation of RTD are therefore inclined to swinging and do not function with this application. High-precision angle measuring system with +/-0.1s accuracy for measuring and calibration applications. The signal sampling is done by an interferometric operating principle (laserscale) The graduation period is 1µm, the generated signal period of the output signal is 250nm. Scale errors are self-compensated by using six reading heads in a special arrangement. The measured values can be output in csv format via the USB interface.
