The battery converter allows the powering of one POWERBOX and one CPSERIES from a LED battery such as those that are available in cars. The converter generates an output voltage of 230 V / 50 Hz from an input voltage of 12 or 24 VDC and is capable of delivering electrical power of up to 1500 W

The latest generation of battery packs consists of Li-ion cells that are equipped with an integrated intelligent monitoring system which ensures a longer battery life. This type of battery does not have a so-called “memory-effect” and therefore does not have to be discharged before one is able to recharge it. This battery is equipped with a test gauge that permits the user to check its charge level and in turn anticipate any potential need for recharging

Detailed images are a common goal for all NDT operators. Depending on the configurations, noise or backscattering effects, disturbances in the results and interpretations may occur. To reduce these effects, ICM engineers have developed a specific adjustable collimator that helps to manually reduce the X-Ray beam that comes from the CP120B and the CP160B. The collimator strictly focuses the X-Ray beam on the target and in doing so reduces the noise effect, the backscattering effects and improves the penetration. This collimator can be mounted on the CP120B & CP160B via a specific support that is placed on the generators.

When a power outlet is available near the CP120B or CP160B generators, a specific mains power supply can be used to directly power the generators without having to use the battery packs. This equipment consists of an adaptor in the shape of a battery pack that enables both an easy and solid connection to the CP generator. A green LED on the side of the main power cable indicates that the PS36 is switched on and that a supply voltage is available.

The Li-ion battery pack charger is uniquely designed to charge the Li-ion battery packs of either the CP120B or CP160B generators. On the front panel there is a ‘power-on’ LED indicating that a supply voltage is present and the charger is switched on, as well as a led battery charge indicator that displays the progress of the charge cycle. On the rear panel you will find a standard IEC power connector, a power switch and a fuse holder.

The CP120B & CP160B generators can be equipped with either a filter or lead cap. These can be used to filter out low energy beams and in doing so improve the image quality. For instance, the lead cap is used to block the X-Ray beam during the pre-heating of the CP160B. Both the filter and lead cap are combined with a specific holder to fix the accessories on the CPB generators. Thanks to its easy fixation system, mounting and dismounting of the filter plate and lead cap is possible.

Next to the CP120B, the CP160B is the slightly more powerful version of our ultra-light, compact and battery operated constant potential portable X-Ray generators. Allowing penetration reaching up to 30 mm for steel, the CP160B is the perfect tool for specific NDT applications that require repetitive short exposures, as well as security applications.

The batteries therefore have an important role, they must provide: reliable STARTING POWER in critical conditions: LOW TEMPERATURES AND LOW CHARGE; the ENERGY necessary for vehicles to support the ELECTRONIC DEVICES on board; VIBRATION RESISTANCE; RESISTANCE to DEEP DISCHARGE CYCLES. Car batteries strater & stop EFB EFB batteries are suitable for small and medium-sized cars and represent the improvement of the classic flooded batteries. EFB batteries have a reduced internal resistance and guarantee twice the number of discharge cycles compared to a traditional battery. These batteries are suitable for cars equipped with start-stop systems, vehicles without start-stop system but driving in city traffic, cars without start-stop but super equipped. If an EFB battery is factory-installed in a car, it can be replaced with another EFB battery, but if a more powerful battery is desired, an AGM battery can also be installed.
